Andhra's IT champ
BVR Mohan Reddy is another IT entrepreneur who honed his skills during his stint with HCL. His first venture was OMC Computers, an initiative promoted by Voltas and Dr Raj Reddy-world renowned computer scientist from Carnegie Mellon University. At OMC, Reddy pioneered the CAD/CAM culture in India. However, as an entrepreneur, Reddy tasted more success with Infotech Enterprises, founded in 1991 as a technology services and solutions company. Having been a strong advocate of Chandrababu Naidu's initiatives, Reddy in his own right, has been an IT champion for Andhra Pradesh. Especially during his stints as president of Electronics Industries Association of Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad Software Exporters' Association; and chairman of CII, Andhra Pradesh Chapter.
