Rich in humility
At the turn of the millennium, Azim Premji was ranked the world's third richest man, after Bill Gates and Warren Buffet-but he's still a man full of humility. That he still flies economy class, when he could very well charter the whole airplane, speaks volumes. But, that is how Premji is, preferring to avoid media glare while Wipro sets blazing trends in India and abroad. A man who had to leave his studies to attend to family business. The mild mannered billionaire's company is a now a case study in many management colleges around the world. It has indeed been a long and fruitful journey for both Premji and Wipro, though Wipro's overall contribution can never be fully appreciated without looking at the number of entrepreneurs it spawned off.
