Always craving success
The seeds of entrepreneurship were planted in Atul Nishar when he was sent by his grandfather to sell chikoos at the station. Nishar gave up his promising career as a CA and started Aptech computer education in 1984. Together with NIIT, Aptech defined retail IT training in India; but Nishar was not content with Aptech's success. He set up a software company Hexaware in 1990. Having sold off Aptech to SSI in 2003, today, the Rs 691 crore Hexaware is the cynosure of Nishar's empire. Apart from Hexaware, Nishar has been active in the IT industry serving as Nasscom chairman in 1999-2000, an expert member on the IT Committee of Indian Merchants Chamber (2002-2003), chairman of the CII IT Committee (2001-2002) and member of the Steering Committee of FICCI.
