Aditi Technologies
Established in 1994, Aditi Technologies provides software product outsourcing services and specializes in outsourced product development from India. It has been developing software products for global markets and has developed numerous products for Microsoft and many other clients. In the last two years it has been evolving as an engineering design and services company. The company, which has an employee base of 433, saw a low 9% growth in its headcount. It offered an 18.6% salary hike to its employees with the average salary in the organization at Rs 8.78 lakh per annum.

BMC Software India
BMC Software India was established in 2001. The Pune center plays a major role for this Houston-based company which provides enterprise management solutions spanning enterprise systems, applications, databases and service management. The Pune center accounted for almost two-thirds of the R&D initiatives being undertaken worldwide and was made the global R&D hub for its Magic Solutions division. The company witnessed a 46% employee growth and has a total strength of 593 employees. The average salary in the organization was Rs 7.62 lakh per annum and there was a 29.1% hike in the salaries during the year.

Capgemini Consulting India
Capgemini started its operations in India in 1997 with an office in Mumbai. Since then the company has extended its footprint, expanding to other locations. It offers solutions across a wide range of verticals including automotive, financial services, healthcare, life sciences, manufacturing, energy, utilities, telecom, etc. The company saw a good 76% growth in its headcount, which is currently at 2,128 people. The average salary was at around Rs 6.21 lakh per annum.

FCS Software Solutions
Set-up in 1993, FCS Software Solutions operates in the areas of e-learning, digital content services, IT consultancy, and product engineering services. The company has also expanded into interactive and intelligent gaming solutions. It currently employs 544 people, witnessing a 37% growth in its headcount. Training was one of the key focus areas for FCS-it imparted 52 average training days to its employees. The company also boasted of one of the highest rates of retention. The employees were given a 31.1% hike in salaries, which was again on the higher side, as compared to others in the industry.

Flextronics Software
Flextronics Software Systems is a communications solutions provider with specialization in providing convergent network solutions. It offers products and services for wireline, wireless and next generation fixed or IP networks. It has been assessed at SEI-CMMI Level 5 and has also been an ISO 9001 company since 1996. Its employee size grew by 21% and has a total employee strength of 2,369. An average of 7.9 training days were provided. The company's average salary touched Rs. 8.20 lakh per annum with an 18.6% hike in the salaries during the year.

HCL Comnet
HCL Comnet is a 100% subsidiary of HCL Technologies and provides Remote IT infrastructure Management Services. It offers a broad range of managed services including datacenter management services, security management services, network management services and end user computing. The company boasted of one of the highest retention rates. During the year, it offered an 18.6% hike in the salaries. HCL Comnet grew its employee strength by 26% and employed a total of 1,492 people. The average salary was Rs 4.65 lakh per annum.

i-flex Solutions
i-flex Solutions is one of India's few software products success stories. It is a leading provider of IT solutions with focus on the financial services industry. Its core banking solution, Flexcube, continues to be the mainstay business for the company even while it has been adding other offerings like risk management to its portfolio. It has also been growing business on the services front. i-flex has a total headcount of 4,378. It saw a decent 61% growth in the employee size. An average salary of Rs 8.20 lakh per annum was being paid and there was an 18.6% hike in the salaries during the year.

Infinite Computer
Infinite Computer Solutions offers both IT and ITES solutions to customers across verticals like telecom, finance, healthcare, manufacturing, energy and utilities, retail and distribution, and government. With 196% growth in its manpower strength the company boasted of one of the highest employee growths during the year. It has a total of 1,495 employees. The average salary in the organization was Rs 5.69 lakh per annum, with an 18.6% salary hike given during the year.

Intex Technologies
Intex Technologies has evolved from a single product company to over 200 products in systems, peripherals and networking. Products include PCs, TFT-LCD monitors, cabinet, keyboards, mouse, webcams, UPS, batteries, SMPS, add on cards, Networking Products, CD-R and DVD-R, and LAN and WAN. Intex fared quite low on the training front with only 1.2 average training days. There was a 57% jump in the headcount and 13.1% jump in salaries.

Kanbay Software India
Established in 1991, Kanbay Software employs a total of 3,556 people. It has a sharp focus on the financial services domain. India contributed around 80% of Kanbay's global workforce and half of its revenues. The company grew its employee strength by 32% during the year, it providing an average of 9 training days. During the year there was a jump of 16.3% in salaries. The average salary came to around Rs 5.90 lakh. Almost 93.12 % is the fixed component.

Kale consultants
Kale Consultants provides software products and outsourced services to the Travel & Transportation industry. It boasts of over 60 customers in 30 countries across the globe. The company's offerings are in the areas of BPO, software solutions, application management and consultancy. Kale employs 269 IT professionals. It gave 59.8 average days of training to its employees.

KPIT cummins Infosystems
KPIT Cummins Infosystems develops software solutions with core competencies in Enterprise Applications, e-Business Applications, Application Integration, Data Warehousing and Embedded Systems. The company employs a total of 1,476 people. It witnessed a decent employee growth of 78% during the year. It paid an average salary of Rs 6.57 lakh per annum and offered 16.5% salary hike to its employees. Almost 94% of the salary component is fixed.

Moser Baer
Moser Baer's operations include optical and magnetic storage media, audio cassettes/diskettes, etc. It manufactures CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R and DVD-RW. It is an OEM supplier to some of the top brands across the world. The company grew its workforce by 37% during the year and also enjoyed a good retention rate. It employs a total of 1,887 people. A salary hike of 17.9% was offered during the year and the average salary touched Rs 8.20 lakh per annum.

NESS Technologies India
Ness Technologies is a provider of end-to-end IT services and solutions with focus on outsourcing and offshore, systems integration and application development, software and consulting, and quality assurance and training. This Indian operations of Tel Aviv-based Ness Technologies offered one of the highest salary hikes at 40.4%. The average salary in the organization was Rs 6.52 lakh per annum. Its employee strength totalled to 996 people.

Network Appliance
Network Appliance is a provider of unified storage solutions including specialized hardware, software, and services. The company presently has a headcount of 125. It grew its manpower strength by 98% during the year. The average salary offered was on the higher side at Rs 13.08 lakh per annum. An average of 35 training days was given to the employees.

NIIT
NIIT Ltd is one of the leading providers of IT education and training and a global IT Learning Solutions Corporation. Its offerings span across the areas of knowledge solutions and IT training across individuals, enterprises, schools and colleges. The current employee strength of the company is 1,455. There was a 13% increase in the headcount of this training major during the year. The average salary was at Rs 11.64 lakh per annum. The company also fared relatively high on the retention front.

Patni
Patni provides IT solutions in the areas of IT services, Infrastructure Management Services, BPO and Product Engineering Services. It has adopted an aggressive verticalization strategy. Some of the key verticals the company has been targeting include financial services, insurance, manufacturing, telecom, retail, energy and utilities, etc. Patni has an employee size of 9,967. It saw its employee count grow by a decent 44% during the year. It offered an average salary of Rs 8.14 lakh per annum. Around 88.2% of the salary for the employees is the fixed component.

Polaris Software
Polaris Software offers products, solutions and services in the banking, financial services and insurance vertical. The company's expertise lies in the areas of corporate banking, retail banking, wealth management, investment banking, insurance, enterprise solutions, etc. Polaris saw a 19% growth in its headcount. The company's headcount currently stands at 5,558. There was an 18.2% hike in the salaries, and the average salary was at Rs 7.33 lakh per annum.

Saama Technologies India
Established in 1999, Saama Technologies India specializes in software development, offshore services, product services, intranet and internet application development, and BI services with specialization in business objects. The company employs 112 people. It saw its headcount grow by 87% during the year. The average salary within the organization was Rs 5.24 lakh and there was a hike of 22.9% offered in the salaries. An average of 10.9 days of training was provided to the
employees.

SAR Softech
Established in the year 1997 SAR Softech provides solutions in the domains of engineering design services (land development, transportation, architectural, public works, process engineering), end-to-end GIS application and data conversion services, CAD-related digital data creation software consulting and development. It offers high-end Engineering Services. The company has an employe size of 78 and it grew its manpower strength by 73% during the year. SAR Softech laid high emphasis on providing training to the employees and average training days was 35.4.

Sierra Atlantic Software
Sierra Atlantic is a Hyderabad-based software application and biotech instruments company that offers enterprise application services, integration services, application development and maintenance, e-business and product engineering services with focus on discrete manufacturing, process manufacturing and financial services industries. It has a headcount of 704 people. There was a 36% jump in the employee size during the year. The company offered an average salary of Rs 6.39 lakh per annum. There was an 18.8% hike in the salaries.

Synechron
Synechron offers a wide spectrum of software and consulting services to a broad range of industry verticals with domain expertise in financial services, insurance, biotech/pharmaceuticals, energy and utilities, manufacturing, telecom, and 3D and rich media sectors. The Pune offshore development center is involved in some of the turnkey projects for the company. The company provided 60 average training days, which well surpassed the general industry standard. It also boasted of one of the highest scores in terms of average tenure and retention. Synechron has an employee size of 187.

Tata Infotech
Tata Infotech is a part of the Tata Group. The company operates in the areas of software services, SI, managed network services, IT-enabled services, hardware manufacturing, IT education, optimization and analytics. In a significant development, the company has been recently merged with TCS. Its present headcount is at 2,555 employees. The company saw its employee strength grow by only 11%. However, it enjoyed a relatively high retention during the year, and offered an 18.6% hike in the salaries.

vMoksha Technologies
Headquartered in Bangalore, vMoksha's service offerings include product engineering, migration, package implementation and remote support. Its offerings span across both application and infrastructure. The company has specific focus on industry segments like banking, finance, securities and insurance (BFSI), healthcare and pharmaceuticals, independent software vendors (ISVs), manufacturing and retail and distribution. The company saw a downsizing in its employee size by 43%. Its current manpower strength is 359. However, it was on the higher end of the spectrum in terms of training offered with an average 53.7 training days.

WeP Peripherals
Formerly the peripherals systems division of Wipro Infotech, WeP Peripherals came into existence as an independent identity in September 2000. The company offers IT peripherals products, IT peripherals solutions and printing services. Over the last two to three years it has also diversified into networking products like routers, modems, interface cards, LAN switches, etc. The company has a headcount of 195. It grew its employee size almost negligibly at a rate of 2%.

Zensar Technologies
Pune-based Zensar Technologies is a software solutions and BPO services company. It has aligned itself along four strategic business units (SBUs), namely Application Portfolio Management, Enterprise Application services, innovative Technology Solutions, and Business Process Outsourcing and Optimization. It saw a 25% jump in its headcount. It employs 1,960 people. The average salary in the organization was Rs 8.11 lakh per annum, and a 15.2% hike in salaries was given during the year.
