One of the first high-profile US BPO companies to venture into Chandrababu Naidu's Cyberabad, and also in Chennai, Brigade ramped up its India operations during the year by acquiring Webhelp Global Services from TWS Holdings in an all-cash deal. While Webhelp's customer servicing expertise enhanced Brigade's existing CRM skills, the former also brought its tech support strength along with existing clients. During the year, Brigade also dropped its acquired, transformation and leveraged (ATL) business model-the change in model followed the acquisition of General Atlantic Partners' entire stake by the Brigade management.
