This Pune-based company was acquired by payments technology vendor Fundtech for $3.3 mn in cash. An additional $3.7 mn in cash would be paid over the next three years, depending on the financial performance of CashTech. This should not pose a problem as CashTech has already spread its footprints worldwide-the tie-up with Korea-based Kookmin Data Systems was a significant step. The global expansion would be further bolstered with the launch of two new products: the Straight Through International Remittance solution for cross-border remittances and an anti-money laundering tool called Positive Pay.
