Larger deals and acquisitions seem to be the road ahead for the HCLT subsidiary

Going with the prevailing trend in the IT industry, large deals and acquisitions are the focus for HCL BPO Services too. It added eight new clients to its kitty, four of which were Fortune 500 companies, taking its overall customer base to 40. It also bagged a $25 mn order from an existing client, for a new high-end technical support process for telecom infrastructure.

Overall, the company shifted its focus toward large end-to-end non-voice processes with the aim of achieving a 50:50 mix of voice and non-voice business. Telecom, banking, financial services, insurance, and retail continued to remain its mainstay, with 80% of its business coming from top five clients. Customer services, along with sales and marketing, contributed 51% of overall revenues, with tech help desk and payment services following.

  • Implemented DS3 international network circuit, with an enhanced capacity of over 200 Mbps
  • Created 1,500 production seats and new delivery centers at Noida and Chennai
