BPO Rankings: 17 | Hinduja TMT: Hard Work, Health Diet
Expanded healthcare and domestic businesses, even as it grappled with the high cost of attrition
Monday, August 28, 2006

It was not a great year for HTMT as top-line declined even when investments in infrastructure and people went up. Its attrition rate was one of the highest at 97%, and the CEO also quit. On the brighter side, the company is pursuing domestic dreams and exploring inorganic routes to scale up. FY '06 saw concentrated attempts by the management to shortlist and evaluate potential acquisitions. Though none materialized, this financial year can see some of those fructifying. In the domestic market, where there is a large untapped potential for contact centers and back office solutions, the company sees significant interest. This business now accounts for 11 clients, about 3,000 employees and contributes 15% of its overall revenues.  HTMT is particularly leveraging on its expertise in the healthcare sector to grow existing accounts.

  • Had one of the highest attrition rate at 97%
  • K Thiagarajan, MD and CEO quits
  • Moved to a 2,500 seat 'HTMT Cyber Park' in Manila
