Two acquisitions-Princeton Consulting and Eldorado Computing-helped
MphasiS strengthen its offerings across verticals. But change agents at the
company continued to push for more and JFM 2006 saw the company make a conscious
shift to focus on four industry verticals-financial services, telecom,
healthcare, and hi-tech industries. The year saw its go-to-market strategy
revolve around cultivating new service lines, particularly finance and
accounting, where there was a spurt in demand this year: an example is offshored
tax processing. Its focus on acquiring clients in India helped bag contracts
from a leading private telecom service provider and also India's leading
public sector bank. MphasiS also introduced multi-channel customer interactions
services incorporating chat, e-mail and voice.
