Flextronics Software Systems' HR framework revolves around the five-pointed
star model. The five aspects covered include a great environment and a good
culture, understanding and meeting career aspirations of employees, providing
immense learning opportunities so that they can continue to grow, making
employees feel important and motivated through a strong reward and recognition
program. The model, along with compensation, forms the key drivers for employee
satisfaction at FSS.
The energy curve concept has been introduced to bolster the Performance
Management System. It includes performance classification of employees on a 4x4
matrix and has been further linked to employee compensation to make the whole
system more transparent.

However, FSS needs to work more aggressively on retaining
its employees as it scores low on retention among the top 20. While the survey
shows that stress at work is fairly managed, salaries compared with industry
standards is an area of concern. Page(s) 1
