Attrition and recruitment today figure among the top challenges that Sierra
Atlantic's HR is trying to grapple with. All HR policies are being developed
around the motto “To attract,
motivate, engage and retain the right talent by instituting ethically sound
policies, realistic procedures and innovative practices to build lasting
relationships and to bring about excellence in all our endeavors”.
Some of the initiatives introduced last year include setting up of a one-stop
shop for addressing grievances; introducing policy on tuition fee reimbursement
for certifications; HR Interact, an open house where all concerns and
suggestions are noted and tracked to closure and efforts to reach out to onsite
employees periodically. Sierra has a doctor on board, and has it introduced
aerobics sessions at company premises and concierge services.
