After slipping eight places, CSC at #18 barely manages to
hold on to its place in the top 20 this year. LOMA recently honored CSC India
with the prestigious Excellence in Education Award, an award that recognizes
companies doing the outstanding job of developing HR through LOMA's
professional education and learning programs. Additionally, every employee gets
90 hours of training.
'Innovation at Work' is a practice that the company
follows to encourage employees gather technical expertise and growth. Citations
are put up regularly on the Intranet and the company website.

Despite some innovative practices, CSC's fall could be
attributed to a couple of factors. One, the company nearly doubled its workforce
in the last one year and in all likelihood did not manage to handle employee
expectation to the level desired. Two, CSC did not have a formal HR head in
place for a while and this could have hampered its HR practices. Page(s) 1
