The Top 10: 8 - Induslogic: Parallel Growth
It partners with its employees in growth, and it provides for an alternate, non-manager path
Wednesday, September 06, 2006

It's the second consecutive year for Induslogic in the survey, as well as in the Top 20. Induslogic is one of the two OPD companies (Aztecsoft being the other) that made it to the top this year. Its rise into the Top 10 can be attributed to two factors-treating employees as growth partners; and exposure to high-end technology.

The quality of work possible at Induslogic is the company's single-largest USP. Code jocks at this Noida-based company get to work on high-end technology. Small groups are formed that directly engage with the client. The direct exposure greatly enhances satisfaction level.

An interesting policy that Induslogic has instituted is that of a dual career path. Often, geeks are forced into managerial roles for personal growth and this is not always the most preferred option. This leads to higher levels of dissatisfaction and also increased attrition levels. Induslogic offers employees a parallel growth path in technology without forcing them to move to managerial roles.

A privately held company, Induslogic shares it financial results with all employees to allow them to be a partner in the company's growth process. It also restructured its compensation structure last year, and bonuses were given across all levels. Also, all employees were covered under ESOPs. An online performance management system was put in place.

It is primarily employee perception that pulls up the company significantly in the overall tally. Empowerment at work emerges as a key driver of satisfaction for the company and nearly 75% of its employees surveyed revealed that they would recommend Induslogic to all acquaintances seeking employment. The company institutionalized its operations in India when it got a professional COO and country manager on board last year (Mukul Jain joined from HCL Technologies) while Rajul Garg, one of the founders, moved to a strategic role.
