The flip side: mega contracts when awarded at the source, or unbundling as it is called, means direct competition with MNCs for the Indian players. While volumes for such deals are usually good, there can be significant pressure on margins. Infosys, for one, has made it clear that it is not in favor of locking up huge supplies for long periods at low prices.
