Indian IT companiesInfosys, Wipro, Microsoft India, and telecom player Tata
Indicom have found place in the list of top ten green brands in the country,
in the 2009 Green Brands Global Survey.
The survey was conducted by WPP agencies Cohn & Wolfe, Landor Associates and
Penn, Schoen & Berland Associates, as well as the independent strategy
consulting firm, Esty Environmental Partners, across seven countriesthe US, the
UK, China, Brazil, India, Germany, and France.
While Dettol topped the The ImagePower Green Brands list in India, the
others are Taj Hotels and Resorts, Reva, Maruti, Colgate, and Lifebuoy.
India and Brazil, however, emerged as the only two of the seven countries in
which consumers expressed more concern for the environment than for the economy,
the survey said.
