Notes On the Industry Summary Table

  • 1The category of servers includes x-86 and non x-86 servers. Non x-86 servers have been segmented into high-end and medium. The volume severs includes low-end x-86 and non x-86. x-86 servers are shipped with Windows NT, Novell NetWare, Linux or SCO Unix network operating systems.

  • 2Desktop PCs include desktops and network clients.

  • 3Only the value of monitors that are sold as standalone units have been taken, to avoid double count.
