NE--New entry

Hughes SOFTWARE has been in India for nearly a decade, but is a new entry into the HR rankings. Attrition levels were just below industry average (ranked 7th with 8.2%) while on training, it ranked 6th. However, its overall attribute score was comparatively low (rank 18th), as was its performance on perks. It ranked 16th on overall and peer satisfaction. Of all employees surveyed, 2.5% voted for Hughes Software as their dream company, which included 43.9% of its own employees. About 9.8% of employees, however, preferred Infosys and 4.9% each preferred Cadence, Wipro and TCS. Interestingly, about 2% of TCS employees voted for HSS. Employees rated the company as satisfactory on technology but gave it among the lowest scores on job security, the performance appraisal system and training and development.
