Changed distribution model by forming new subsidiary, Asia Computers International (Asia)
Aggressively targeted educational institutions

For thIS budget-priced notebook vendor, revenues fell 40% —primarily due to the erratic distribution from Allied Computer Industries, the erstwhile distributor of the ACI brand in India. A new subsidiary, Asia Computers International (Asia), was formed and now has sole distribution rights. To differentiate itself from competitors, ACI targeted students in educational institutions. The fiscal also saw orders coming in from Asian Paints, Nerolac and India Today.
