With lowering margins in the distribution business, IT distribution major and
PC manufacturer eSys Information Technologies reinforced focus on its own
branded products and manufacturing business. The company launched its new
Mainstream desktop PC based on Intels E5200 dual core processor.
The company also introduced its own branded PC at the lower end of the price
spectrum, targeting the home users and the SOHO segment, at Rs 10,990. With the
low priced PC, the company aimed to gain an edge over competition and capture a
bigger market share through lower price. Expanding into newer areas, the company
also launched its eSys Divoom COMET-A1 home theatre system with multi-channel
5.1 home theater surround sound performance.
eSys also launched its price insurance scheme, Digital Insurance Service
for its partner distributors. The scheme offers price protection of up to 60
days and is aimed at building confidence in selling and stocking their PC
products among its channel partners. Presently the scheme is available to the
value and premium partners of eSys India. The company also proposed a 90-day
stock rotation period to help partners to better manage their inventory. The
company announced its tie-up with Quick Heal for the national distribution of
its Guardian Anti Virus Software in India.
