For Global Logic, the overall recessionary trends and the rupee-dollar
fluctuation have had its adverse impact. This got particularly reflected in the
employee compensation and subsequent low scores on salary hikes. Another area of
concern for the company was training. While the company agrees it has some
catching up to do on that front, it claims to provide a lot of online learning
tools as of now. The employees however are not effectively using these tools and
want more classroom-based training. GlobalLogic plans to meet this need by
introducing classroom-based training in the ongoing year. The company is also
creating a separate HR team that will focus purely on employee training
requirements, closely looking at specific training needs of an employee.
Employees have given GlobalLogics appraisal system a high score, primarily
appreciating its transparency. Apart from trust in leadership, the companys
positive work environment is also encouraging for its employees.
