Theres both good and bad news for Hexaware: while it jumped two positions
from last year, there is still a long way to go before a majority of the IT
fraternity considers it a dream company. The employee score might have
increased, but its the HR score that pulled its overall satisfaction level
down. While some moves were taken to address this, it did not immediately
reflect, at least in the survey findings.
Salary was a pain area, with most employees feeling it not at par with
industry standards. Lack of transparency in the appraisal, and system perks and
inadequate benefits too remained contentious issues. The HR department
introduced a new performance management system across all its delivery centers
in India. While the HR did try to do its best to take employee-friendly
decisions, there were uncertainties surrounding the company toward the year-end.
As it shut down its Gurgoan center, the market was buzzing with rumors of
displacement of 400-odd people, even though the company claims that over 60%
have agreed to move to their other centers.
