Unlike most companies in BES Top 20, the emotional connect between managers
and employees helped in the personal and professional growth of Ness employees.
Not following the traditional hierarchical organizational structure has helped
create a better work environment. The company revamped the compensation strategy
in a way that employees were able to get more money through tax saving; a new
car lease scheme was also launched.
Some weak areas though remained Appraisal parameters, appraisal procedures
and training were still concerns causing the company to drop by one rank. Delay
in completion of HR integration with the acquired company could also be a reason
for the decline.
The company recruited a women-only batch last year, an innovative step going
beyond mere lip service on gender diversity.
