relationship-based pricing and centralized billing solutions. Over the year, it
launched a significant product, TBMS-F Price Modeler, an advanced price modeling
engine. The product, which, in addition to the companys flagship TBMS-F family
can also be used as a standalone solution, was integrated with other pricing
platforms. Axis Bank partnered with SunTec to consolidate its disparate billing
silos, and centralize and streamline the pricing and billing processes.

A strategic move by Krone last year was its entry into data center solutions.
The company took a strategic decision in supporting the green initiatives for
data center management and developing more products which can indirectly save
more energy for the customers. There was also a huge demand for data center
cabling. The company won the countrys largest structured cabling contract from
TCS worth $3.4 mn for their facility in Siruseri, Chennai. There were also some

Impetus Technologies signed an MoU with the Madhya Pradesh government promising
to invest Rs 200 crore in the state over the next five years, and recruit 2,500
employees. It launched its internal dedicated practice group for Googles
OpenSocial platform. iLabs incubated as an initiative from Impetuss R&D
division would focus on pursuing the technology and business aspects of the
company. The company also appointed Rajeeva Gupta as the new VP, Engineering and

The biggest thing to happen to Span Infotech (apart from a change in name from
Span Systems) last year was its acquisition by EDB, the Norwegian billion-dollar
IT behemoth. The deal will benefit Span immensely, as its earnings were under
pressure because over 80% of its revenues come from the US. With EDB as the
majority stakeholder, the company intends to break new grounds in the European
markets. The company is also making a big foray into the logistics space.
