A strong BI player in the BFSI segment, SAS expanded its presence into other key business verticals last fiscal. The company clinched deals with the Department of Statistics, Ministry of Family Health & Welfare, and Department of Customs & Central Excise, GoI. In the pharma vertical, SAS acquired Clinigen and Dr Reddys. In the areas of Basel II and AML, SAS acquired Axis Bank, Dena Bank, and Allahabad bank. It launched a bundle of BI products catering specially to the SME and mid-market segment.

The company retained its leadership in the modem market by selling 275,000 units to garner Rs 164 crore. Its market share stood close to around 42.6% in value terms. It saw good demand for its modems from the BFSI space with enterprise like Syndicate Bank, Oriental, and Dena Bank buying its products. Other key clients included Indian Railways, IOC, HPCL, and STPI. The company also tapped into the government vertical by supplying its products to SWAN projects in Jharkand and West Bengal.

While the North American market continues to be a major revenue generator, TIS was able to move up further in Europe and Australia. For the domestic market, it continued to stay focused on media and entertainment, government, pharma, and travel; while internationally, the focus was on technology software products, travel and hospitality, and medical imaging.
