49|Datacraft India : Fueled by
Cisco
Datacrafts successes in India have always been closely linked
with Cisco. This is not surprising because unlike competitors Wipro
Infotech or HCL Comnet, who offer a wider SI portfolio, Datacraft
has always remained a pure-play network integrator. And it is this
relationship with the #1 networking vendor, coupled with the fact
that many of its BFSI and IT/BPO clients opted for a technology
refresh in FY 08, that brought Datacraft back into the DQTop50 club
after a gap of two years.

Some facts: Datacraft India was
Ciscos largest as well as the fastest growing partner. It was the
first company in Asia Pacific to achieve a dual master
specialization certification from Cisco on security and unified
communication, and only the third company in the world to do so. It
monopolized Ciscos telepresence deployment in India during FY 08
with twenty-three installations, including the first telepresence
meeting solution in Apac for a global wireless service provider with
SBUs in Chennai and Hyderabad.

M&A-wise, the acquisition of Orion
Technologies, a Canadian software company helped Rolta gain access
to smart technologies to enhance its geospatial/GIS service
offerings. Rolta also created a presence in the knowledge oriented
ERP services space with the acquisition of TUSC, a renowned
Chicago-based ERP consulting company. Its JV with Thales went
operational only in FY 08, and is expected to become a major
revenue generator by catering to modern defense and warfare needs.
As a part of internal
restructuring, Rolta created presidents for each geography, and
separate vertical heads. It also implemented ERP within the
organization and achieved the CMMI Level 5i certification. Page(s) 1 2
