Growth for HTMT Global Solutions accelerated in a year (65% from 14% in FY
07) that saw a slowdown in growth for most others. What is noteworthy is that
the growth was across all sectors. While the traditional areas, financial
services and telecom, grew more than 50% each, new verticals such as consumer
goods, package goods, and government services witnessed more than 70% growth.
Its India business (revenue not included here) also grew 62%.
The company acquired a loss-making North American mid-tier call center
company, Affina in the previous year, and successfully integrated it to turn it
profitable.
HTMT draws all its revenue from North America, but is looking at getting into
Europe primarily by inorganic means. It also plans to tap newer geographies in
Asia where it can deliver on both the local market and global delivery
potential.
