BNC Faces Funding and Connectivity Issues

The Bharat Nirman Centers (BNC), which are the main tools of the e-governance program in Uttar Pradesh, are slowly fading out due to the lack of funding and improper connectivity. According to Chandra Prakash, principal secretary, Department of IT and Electronics, Uttar Pradesh, There is an impact of the slowdown on service center agency (SCA) which are unable to manage funds and this has led to the delay of the BNC rollout. Out of the target of 17,000 BNC rollout in a year, only 4,500 BNC have been rolled out approximately in one and half year.
