Which Technologies Will the CIO Implement?

DQ-IDC India Survey: Megaspenders 2004

The CIOs were asked which technologies they would implement (only if they did not have that already in place) in the year ahead. And the traditional technologies once again came at the top. But technologies like BI and knowledge management that have yet not achieved mainstream status in India, are on the Indian CIO’s mind.

More than one third of the CIOs surveyed are looking at deploying some form of Wi-Fi in the year ahead. That’s a marked increase from the responses last year. In a similar survey last year only 22% of the CIOs said they would look at some form of Wi-Fi. A focus on the right kind of technologies and applications will help the CIOs build an agile organization.
