We asked the CIOs for the three areas where they would be spending the most in the year ahead. And it came across as no surprise that most of the CIOs across various verticals pointed to PCs as their area of top spending. But the heartening aspect of the whole story was that ERP applications was the other area where the CIOs will focus on in the year ahead. Servers on an overall basis have been relegated to the CIOs third priority spot, but in a number of verticals the area continues to dominate after PCs.
