Experian Forms PMG
Information services company Experian has announced that its integrated
marketing division has formed a dedicated product manufacturing group (PMG). The
product manufacturing group will work on new software developments. The new
group will be solely responsible for accelerating the development of the
companys marketing software Experian Elements.
Qualcomms India Venture
Qualcomm Ventures has made its entry into the Indian market with its first
direct equity investment in Tessolve Services, a provider of solutions and
platforms for semiconductor testing, packaging, qualification and failure
analysis. The company said that its investment strategy would focus on Indian
startups.
Recognition for Geometric
Consulting firm Frost & Sullivan has named Geometric the winner of the 2008
Frost & Sullivan Emerging Company of the Year Award, based on a recent analysis
of the global engineering design services market. Among other things, the award
recognizes the companys consistent revenue growth rate and global engineering
delivery network capability.
IBM, RGICS Face-2-Face
IBM India and Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Contemporary Studies (RGICS) have
collaborated to launch Face2Face, a leadership forum that will raise issues of
national importance and initiate debate for remedial action. The first Face2Face
forum will focus on healthcare. As part of this partnership, the two
organizations held a conference, Role of Private Sector for Inclusive
Healthcare System on April 23, 2008 in New Delhi.
ProCurve Integrates MS NAP
ProCurve Networking by HP has announced that ProCurve Identity Driven Manager (IDM)
policy management tool is now interoperable with Microsofts Network Access
Protection (NAP) technology, providing an integrated, standards-based solution
for robust network security. The combined technology solution helps customers to
implement customized network access policies for admission of users and clients
in wired and wireless networks.
University of Nottingham Deploys Finjan
The University of Nottingham has deployed a security solution from Finjan to
secure its infrastructure and operations across its various campus locations
from external threats. The Finjan solution has been integrated with the
universitys existing Cisco Application Control Engine (ACE) load balancer to
provide members with resilient Internet access via the multiple scanning blades
within the Finjan Blade center.
