Sahara Launches New Notebooks

Sahara Computers, a South African PC giant, has launched its latest entry level 8-inch laptop, S-NB522434-EB00 in the market. This latest model, a new addition to Saharas Image Book Series, is one of the smallest notebooks with 60 Gb hard drive, an 8 inch LCD TFT display screen and weighs just 1.1 kg. Sahara wants to break the Rs 30,000 price point barrier by launching sub-Rs 10,000 PCs and penetrate the B, C and D class cities in India.

Flash memory producer Transcend Information has unveiled its new high-capacity USB flash drivethe 16 GB JetFlash V85 in India. It measures just 49.5 mm long by 15.8 mm wide, and is thin enough (7.4mm) to slide effortlessly into tight-fitting stacked USB ports.
