ISRO to Rival Google
In a bid to rival popular mapping service Google Earth, ISRO will launch its
own satellite imagery on the Internet six months from now. Our images are
better. These images will be on our website six months from now, said ISRO
chairman G Madhavan Nair. Nair said that ISRO is identifying locations with high
security risks, that are prohibited by law from being imaged.

SAS has launched a new solution, SAS IT Intelligence based on VMware

physical and virtual environments. The new solution will enable customers to

Acer Launches PREDATOR
Acer has launched the new Aspire PREDATOR line of desktop computers for PC
gaming enthusiasts. Its most striking features is that the user can have easy
access to the hard disks via a special door on the front of the lower part of
the chassis: the standard Acer Easy-swap Hard Drive solution makes the 4 Serial
ATA 3 Gbps high capacity hard disks removable even when the PC is in use.
Dells PowerEdge
Dell has announced its broadest line-up of dedicated virtualization
solutions. More than a dozen new servers, tools, and services simplify the
deployment and management of virtualization in enterprises of any size. The new
Dell PowerEdge R805 and R905 deliver servers optimized for virtualization with
the PowerEdge R805, offering 2X memory and I/O capacity of typical 2 socket
servers.
BenQ Launches New Laptops

BenQ, a digital network device brand has announced its foray into the laptop
segment in India with a range of Joybooks. The new range includes three distinct
models, BenQ S32W, R43 and Q41. BenQs patented UltraVivid Technology increases
the brightness of the screen by using the display brilliance enhancement film
technology and results in providing sharp quality pictures even in variable
lighting conditions.
Experian CIS to Ease Debt Recovery Burden
Information services company Experian has launched its collections
information service (CIS) to improve debt recovery by enabling organizations to
take action at the most appropriate time to secure payment. Providing access to
the most up-to-date information, the Web-based system brings greater insight to

Public Beta Versions of Adobe Software
Adobe Systems has released public beta of new versions of Adobe Dreamweaver,
Adobe Fireworks, and Adobe Soundbooth as free downloads on Adobe labs. The betas
will be active for 48 hours after which only Creative Suite 3 customers will
have an extended ability to use the betas until the next release of Creative
Suite becomes available. The betas also offer users the opportunity to give
Adobe feedback for further product development.
Imation to Launch Apollo 2.5-inch Portable Drive
Imation plans to launch Apollo portable hard drive in India in June 2008. Based
on the 2.5-inch hard drive technology, the USB powered Apollo Portable Hard
Drive is lightweight, stylish, and extremely durable with up to 320 Gb for
consumers storage and backup needs. The drive requires neither batteries nor an
external power supply. Imation Apollo 2.5-inch portable hard drive will be
available in 160 Gb, 250 Gb, and 320 Gb in India through their channel partners.
Patni Launches Patni Atoms
IT services firm Patni has launched the first market-ready offering for
communications service providers to set up core customer- and partner-facing
business processes under one consolidated operational model. Patni atoms
process-centric platform is designed for providers needing to provision new
converged services. In the case of a start-up operator in high growth markets,
atoms enable the licensing of the systems required to ramp up service delivery

Panasonic has announced the launch of Elite Panaboard, an interactive
whiteboard for educational institutions and businesses in India. Panaboard
allows direct display of the contents of a computer screen onto the board with a

Wipro Technologies has announced an agreement with SAP AG to launch a solutions
lab. The lab helps build industry networks to help companies leverage industry

Friendster Now on Mobile
Social networking site Friendster launched its new mobile site
m.friendster.com. Friendster also announced that the new mobile site is the
first in a suite of forthcoming mobile offerings named as Friendster Mobile. The
free Friendster Mobile lets users retrieve updates on their friends activities,
check messages, review friend requests, post shoutouts, and do a lot more.
New Software from QAS
QAS has launched QAS Batch with Suppression API and QAS Match, two tools meant
to combat data integrity problems. QAS Batch with Suppression API removes
deceased contacts, identifies house movers, and highlights consumers that have
registered with preference services. Integrated into business applications such
as a CRM or mailing system, the software can run at any time and automatically
remove contacts that cannot or will not respond to communications.

Adobe Systems has introduced its new e-learning tools to make it easier for
educators to create and deliver online learning to students. New hosted and
license options or Quick Start Bundles for Acrobat Connect Pro, and new
Curriculum Resources help equip faculty with tools they need to engage students
in online learning.
The Quick Start Bundles provide special pricing on hosted or on premise
licenses of Acrobat Connect Pro to help educators get started with eLearning.
The bundles provide a variety of licensing options for rapid development of
presentations and quizzes, as well as hosting virtual classrooms with up to 100
attendees.
