Intel Netbook Processors
Intel has unveiled the Intel Atom processors for an emerging class of compact netbooks and nettops that will help bring the Internet to millions of new users in India and around the world. The new processor is based on new purpose-built low power architecture and coupled with its industry-leading 45nm Hi-K manufacturing process it is well suited for this new market opportunity, enabling smaller chips at a lower cost.

HCL Launches MiLeap
HCL has announced the launch of MiLeap, the next in the family of MiLeap ultra portable Leaptop, based on Intel Atom technology. The new MiLeap, the ultra portable range of Leaptops from HCL comes with features that offer complete notebook functionality packed in an ultra portable form factor.

IIIT-B, Radix, Launch Yogyata
The International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore, has announced the launch of Yogyata, a first-of-its-kind professional certification program that aims to enhance employability for the IT sector. Radix Learning, a company focused on providing person-centric, blended-learning programs, would be the content, technology, and managed learning services partner for this initiative.

Adobe Unveils Acrobat 9
Adobe Systems has introduced Adobe Acrobat 9 software, a significant upgrade that will transform the process of creating and sharing electronic documents. Acrobat 9 delivers native support for Adobe Flash technology, the ability to unify a wide range of content in rich PDF portfolios, and access to real-time capabilities for co-navigating a PDF document.

Agilent Rolls Out Agilent U2700A

Tata to Offer Location-based Service in India
Tata Teleservices has announced that it will utilize Qualcomms Assisted GPS (A-GPS) technology to deploy a new location-based service in the Indian market. The service uses Qualcomms Qpoint solution and gpsOne chipset technology, with hosting services from leading wireless communications provider TeleCommunication Systems.

OnMobile Launches Phone Backup Service
Value Added Services provider and data solutions company, OnMobile Global has launched a first-of-its-kind phone backup product with Bharti Airtel, Maxis, and Singtel. The product enables subscribers to backup their personal information including files, messages, videos, photos, music, contacts, calendar, events, and tasks stored on their mobile. The operator network backs up the data.

Dell Launches New SAN Series
Dell India recently launched its next-generation iSCSI storage area network product, Dell Equallogic PS5000 series. The product would fit corporates that want to function with virtual data centers. The array solution comes from Dells acquisition of EqualLogic Solution in February this year. Dell Equallogic series PS5000 will be available through Dell channel partners and through the companys direct sales force.

MO-Call Now Available on Windows Mobile
Morodo has announced that its MO-Call low-cost calling software now supports Windows Mobile Smartphone and Pocket PC GSM devices. Those using mobiles from Amoi, Asus, Audiovox, Dopod, HP, HTC, i-mate, Motorola, O2, Orange, Palm, Samsung, Qtek, and Toshiba can now save up to 90% of the cost of their international calls, at home or abroad, by using MO-Call software, the company said in a communiqu.
