Sun Microsystems Ties-up with NetMagic
Sun Microsystems India and NetMagic have announced a strategic alliance to help startups in India and provide them access to Suns technologies and services from Sun and NetMagic. As per the alliance, NetMagic will be Suns hosting partner to provide Web-hosting and managed services to Suns customers in their Startup Essentials (SSE) program.

Infosys, USC Partner
The University of Southern California (USC) Viterbi School of Engineering and Infosys Technologies have jointly announced an agreement to set up an Infosys-supported Research Center at USC. The agreement was signed by Yannis C Yortsos, dean of the USC Viterbi School of Engineering and Kris Gopalakrishnan, CEO and managing director, Infosys Technologies.

Netlog Joins Googles OpenSocial
Netlog, a leading social networking platform, has announced that it has joined Googles OpenSocial initiative. Netlogs 35 mn users across Europe can now access social networking applications developed using the OpenSocial standards

Tasaa to Market Sage ERP
Tasaa Netcom has signed a partnership agreement with Sage to provide Sage Accpac ERP for the Mumbai market. Tasaa has also become a development partner of Sage to provide industry specific solutions and locally relevant add-ons on the Sage Accpac ERP platform.

Educomp, Raffles Education in a JV
Education company Educomp Solutions and private education group Raffles Education have announced two strategic joint ventures. While India JV is for professional education pursuits, China JV is for K 12 business initiatives. The JV in India will bring the entire suite of the groups professional development programs and courses, providing Educomps large student population with meaningful alternatives when they graduate from high school.

GFH Ties-up with AT&T and NavLink
AT&T has announced that Gulf Finance House (GFH), provider of industry-specific economic infrastructure initiatives across Asia, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, has formed a strategic alliance with AT&T and NavLink, a company in which AT&T has an equity holding. The relationship will result in AT&Ts advanced telecommunications infrastructure technology, design, and implementation know-how being made available to commercial tenants across GFHs Energy Cities and developing telecom cities.

Aksh Optifibre Widens its IPTV Reach with BSNL
Aksh Optifibre has signed an agreement with BSNL, worlds seventh largest telecom company in the world, to provide IPTV services to its subscribers in 20 cities in northern India covering the states of Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, and UP (West) on broadband networks of BSNL. As per the agreement the company needs to have 10,000 IPTV subscribers within a span of 9 months across 20 cities. However, the company is confident of increasing the number by multifolds. BSNL has a total landline network of 40 mn across India and 6 mn in north India, which means that there is immense potential in the market for IPTV services.
