BBVA Deploys Finacle Solution
Infosys Technologies has announced that it has signed an agreement with BBVA, one of the top 15 banks in the world to implement Finacle Universal Banking Solution. The bank will start the transformation exercise in BBVA Banco (Paraguay) by leveraging Finacles agile new generation technology. BBVA will implement Finacle core banking, CRM, treasury, and wealth management solutions. Finacle has a global footprint across 60 countries and has been acknowledged by top analysts including Gartner, Forrester, and Celent among the leaders in the core banking solution space.

Hard Rock Caf picks IDSs Fortune
IDS Softwares (IDS), a provider of integrated IT solutions for the hospitality sector, has tied-up with Hard Rock Caf, India. IDS will manage Hard Rock Cafs chain of restaurants in the country. IDS Fortune R&B Solution is an integrated IT tool which empowers users with increasing efficiency right from taking orders to handling financial accounting. The Fortune R&B solution will help enhance the already established efficiency and professionalism of the Hard Rock Caf chain, says Rajesh P Yadav, general manager, Sales, IDS Softwares.

PTT Picks Four Softs Software
Four Soft, a provider of software solutions for transportation and logistics verticals, has said it has been chosen by PTT Polymer Logistics (PTTPL), a company of PTT Group, Bangkok, to deploy its transportation application, 4S eTrans, across PTTPLs multiple locations in Bangkok, to support its trucking business. 4S eTrans, built on the modern J2EE technology, is an online Web-based application. It seamlessly integrates air, ocean, and truck operations with inbuilt freight accounting module.

CDI Sells IP Rights to Golden Games
Compact Disc India has inked a deal with Singapore-based Golden Games. As a part of the deal, CDI has transferred IP rights of an animated character Joker to Golden Games. The Singapore company will make a total payment of $1.65 mn (Rs 7.10 crore) toward the purchase of IP rights, which will be used for developing and publishing online mobile, PC, and console games in the near future. CDI is expected to generate additional revenue of Rs 20 crore by selling IP rights for the games during financial year 2008-09, said Suresh Kumar, chairman, Compact Disc.
