Intel Launches High-end Xeon Processors
Intel has launched seven 45 nm manufactured Intel Xeon Processor 7400 Series
products. With up to six processing cores per chip and 16 Mb of shared cache
memory, applications built for virtualized environments and data demanding
workloads such as databases, business intelligence, enterprise resource planning
and server consolidation, experience a high performance increase of almost 50%.
These processors can scale up to 16 processor "sockets" to deliver servers with
up to 96 processing cores inside.
HDS Introduces Replication Solution
Hitachi Data Systems has introduced industrys first Heterogeneous
Replication Solution for VMware Environments. Following collaboration with
VMware, Hitachi has launched its Storage Replication Adapter, a software plug-in
that is designed to offer organizations continuous, real-time local and remote
replication and automatic fail-over capabilities to protection data.
LED Notebooks by LG

LG Electronics has launched its latest ultra-slim ultra-light 13.3-inch premium
notebook, the P300 series. The notebook weighs 1.6 kg and has a thickness of 21
mm. Based on a 2.1GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, the laptops are powered with
Nvidia Geforce 8400M graphics chip, 4 Gb DDR2 memory, and a 250 Gb SATA hard
disk.

Fujitsu Adds Low Pin Count Series
Fujitsu Microelectronics has announced the addition of three series
featuring low pin count (LPC), with 20 pins or less, to its F2MC-8FX family of
high-performance 8-bit microcontrollers with embedded flash memory. The new
microcontrollers are known as the MB95200H series, MB95210H series, and MB95220H
series, and have been added to the existing product line in response to the
