VeriSign Partners with Net4
VeriSign has partnered with Net4 to provide businesses in India with comprehensive secure e-commerce solutions. Under the terms of the agreement, Net4 will provide customers across India with all VeriSign Secure Sockets Layer solutions, including standard and Extended Validation SSL Certificates. These solutions enable secure e-commerce, communications and interactions for websites, intranets and extranets. VeriSigns SSL solutions complement Net4s broad range of services like Web hosting, enterprise messaging, etc.

Alcatel-Lucent, McAfee Collaborate
Alcatel-Lucent has announced a joint solution with McAfee that integrates the Alcatel-Lucent OmniAccess 3500 Nonstop Laptop Guardian with McAfee Endpoint Encryption software, delivering a powerful mobile security solution for lost or stolen laptops. Alcatel-Lucent has joined the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance to enable smart card pre-boot authentication and remote kill capabilities for laptops, thereby assuring data protection and compliance.

MindTree Partners with Murex
MindTree has recently entered into a strategic partnership with Murex for system implementation and support services and host the Murex Offshore Development Center in Bangalore. The ODC provides an extension of the new Murex division, CDS (Customer Delivery Services), and serves Murexs technology needs in system implementation tools and technologies. The first assignments will focus on the Murex MX.3 platform upgrade program and will include report and datamart development and conversions.

Reliance Comm, HTC Enter Alliance
Reliance Communication and HTC have entered into a strategic alliance to introduce the new HTC Touch Diamond CDMA (P3051) in India. The announcement further strengthens the successful partnership between HTC and Reliance Comm in the fast growing CDMA market in India. Under the alliance, the HTC Touch Diamond will be exclusively provided on Reliance Communications state-of-the-art wireless network spread across 15,000 towns and 4 lakh Indian villages.

AstraZeneca, Cognizant Announce 5-year Deal
Cognizant has announced a five-year agreement with AstraZeneca to provide application maintenance services to AstraZenecas global enterprise in the business-critical areas of research, clinical development, and sales and marketing. The agreement will further expand Cognizants long-standing relationship with the pharmaceutical major.

EMC Inks Education Agreement with TCE
EMC has signed an agreement, under the EMC Academic Alliance Program, with Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai, an autonomous institution affiliated to Chennai-based Anna University and its subsidiary, EMC (Benelux) BV SARL. Under this program TCE will offer a course in information storage and management technology to its students. EMC has forged alliances with over 100 plus education institutions in India reaching out to 3,000 plus students.

Citrix, HP and Intel Tie-up
Citrix Systems in collaboration with HP and Intel reinforced its commitment to help customers achieve business benefits from server virtualization solutions through Citrix XenServer. Integrated into Intel-based HP ProLiant servers, Citrix XenServer enables businesses of all sizes to lower costs, improve productivity and better allocate resources.

Actis, Panasonic Join Hands
Actis Technologies has partnered with Panasonic to add Panasonic Flat Displays to its portfolio. Actis expects the flat panel market will continue to expand and considers flat panels monitors a core product for the coming age of broadcasting and tele-presence convergence. This tie-up allows Actis to harness cutting edge technology to satisfy the market needs.

Acer Partners Neoteric
Acer India has tied-up with neoteric Infomatique to launch a new line of business, the options and accessories business. The tie-up focuses to establish and take forward Acers options and accessories business in India, which would essentially comprise its branded accessories like battery packs, adapters, memory modules, DVD super multi drives, backpacks, etc.

KPIT, VaST Collaborate
VaST and KPIT Cummins have entered into a partnership to deliver electronic virtualization tools and specialized services to global automotive OEMs and tier-1 suppliers and ODMs. The combination of tools, IP software and services is expected to accelerate the cost reductions and quality improvement.
