mig33 Launched Mobile Fan Clubs
The largest global mobile community, mig33, introduced mobile fan clubs for Kings XI Punjab, Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Daredevils, Royal Challengers and Deccan Chargers. Cricket fans can now, experience live IPL cricket action on their mobile phones. mig33 already caters to more than 20 mn users worldwide including millions in India, South Africa and a large number of NRIs. The platform launched by mig33 in India enabled a two-way engagement process between IPL teams in South Africa, and their fans back in India and around the world. mig33s Cricket FanZone and the IPL teams mobile fan clubs opened a range of new ways for fans to connect with other fans and cheer for their favorite teams. They could watch matches, with live commentary in dedicated chat rooms on their mobiles, and also access members-only chat features.

eBay Partnered Kings XI
eBay India, a leading online marketplace in the country, announced a partnership with Kings XI Punjab, to bring IPL merchandise to cricket lovers across the globe. Kings XI Punjab set up a brand store http://stores.shop.ebay.in/Kings-XI-Punjab-IPL on eBay India, providing fans with a one-stop-shop for all great fan merchandise. Fans from across the world bought KXIP merchandise in large numbers to cheer their favorite team. Sporty merchandise from KXIP included products like car flags, fan caps, cheering sticks, optical caps, expandable banners, mugs, badges and collectibles, etc, allowing fans to drape themselves, their desks or homes, and even their cars to show their fan spirit.

Vodafone Reduced Rates
Vodafone Essar, one of Indias leading cellular service providers, announced significant reductions in international roaming rates for its postpaid customers traveling to South Africa during DLF IPL 2009. Being the official partner of DLF IPL, Vodafone Essar offered these special rates in partnership with the leading South African mobile service provider, Vodacom, which is a joint venture partner with the Vodafone Group. Vodafone Essars postpaid customers could select Vodacom as their default network while roaming in South Africa during IPL and enjoy up to 85% discount on calls, SMS and GPRS services. Customers could make local and international calls at Rs 12.6/min and Rs 34.8/min respectively and enjoy the discounted benefits. All local incoming calls were charged at Rs 12.5/min and SMS at Rs 5/sms.

IPL Online for Free
Working professionals could watch live telecast of IPL matches online from the IPL website without registration and, for free of cost. Microsoft India, in association with IPL, unveiled online IPL viewing experience on the official website of IPL, promoted by the BCCI. With the help of the Silverlight platform, Microsofts cross-browser, cross-platform plug-in for delivering next generation rich interactive applications on the web, viewers could enjoy the entire interactive video-experience through available web-browsers in the market.

TCS Tied up with Rajasthan Royals
TCS announced its partnership with Rajasthan Royals. Using technological solutions, TCS provided RR with players analysis, their health and fitness conditions. RFID was used to track and analyze bowlers performance and condition. All the statistical data and analysis of the players and game were supported by graphics and visuals for better understanding and improving the performance. Also, TCS, using the valued added services (VAS) on the mobile and web, will assist Rajasthan Royals in reaching out to the audience and leverage the technology.

Virgin Called Youths to Play Online Cricket
Virgin Mobile, a provider in youth focused mobile service, announced the launch of the Indian Hatke League (IHL), an entertaining take on cricket. A fun and interactive initiative in the online space, the Indian Hatke League encapsulated everything that represents the Indian youthadventurous, witty, cheeky with a hint of chutzpah. This online destination engaged Indian youth with its mix of cricket and excitement as well as a bunch of incentives including a Hyundai i20 for the Man of the Series. The website is peppered with characters modeled on famous cricket personalities and youth icons.
