CSC Bags Contract from Diageo
CSC announced that it has been selected to design, develop, and implement a new
worldwide supply chain management solution for Diageo, a provider in premium
alcoholic drinks that includes brands such as Johnnie Walker, Guinness and
Smirnoff. The four and a half year agreement has an estimated value of $7 mn.
Rio Tinto, CPA Sign Legal Outsourcing Deal
Rio Tinto, a mining group based in the UK has entered into a legal services
outsourcing agreement with CPA Global to save up to 20% of its legal costs
annually. Under the agreement, CPA Global is providing a team of lawyers in
India to support Rio Tintos in-house legal function on a global basis.
Infosys Bags Microsoft Deal
Microsoft has awarded a $10 mn BPO deal to Infosys. This is a three-year
contract for back-end support such as data processing, said a person familiar
with the development. It is to be assumed that Barack Obamas anti-outsourcing
policy has not affected Microsofts outsourcing plans.
BTs Videoconferencing Facility for Nestle
BT announced that it has entered an agreement with Nestle to connect global
offices of Nestle using the next generation high-end videoconferencing services.
According to the agreement, BT would deliver Nestle with a fully managed
videoconferencing service comprising Cisco TelePresence technology running on
BTs global MPLS network.
