Reliance Infra Bags IT Consultancy Deal
Reliance Infrastructure group announced that it has bagged IT consultancy contracts from five electricity companies in Karnataka. The company, through this deal, would implement an IT infrastructure and provide consulting services for the state electricity boards (SEBs).

Tata Comm, BT Deal
Tata Communications has announced that it has entered into a five-year, voice services agreement with BT Group that would allow both parties to benefit from shared resources as part of a global supply arrangement.

iSOFT Deal in Australia
iSOFT Group, a provider of IT services, announced that it closed deals totaling more than $5.56 mn in Australia and New Zealand in June.The agreements include contracts with district health boards in New Zealand, a second early adopter for iSOFTs community care solution in Australia, and a strategic foothold in the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) new GP Super Clinics National Program.

HCLT Gets DPS Deal
HCL Technologies announced that it would provide IT application and infrastructure operations management for Dr Pepper Snapple Group, a producer of flavored beverages. The five-year engagement will assist DPS in the following areas: application support and maintenance, end-user computing, integrated service desk and network management.

Satyam, FIFA Get Talking
Mahindra Satyam plans to re-negotiate its $80 mn contract with the Federation Internationale De Football Association (FIFA) for the next two world cups. The move was administered to cut costs. FIFA will pay Satyam for their IT needs, and will display the Satyam brand across all platforms during the World Cup.

IBS Malaysian Airline Tie-up
IBS has signed a contract with Malaysia Airlines (MAS), according to which the company will deploy its crew management system, AvientCrew, for the airline. The agreemment is expected to increase the operational agility and productivity of the airline crew. The airline industry, faced with losses, is looking at innovative IT solutions to reduce overall cost of operations.
