Ma Foi Bags UNICEF Project
Ma Foi Consulting Solutions has bagged the human resources project by UNICEF in Jharkhand. Among the several projects undertaken by UNICEF in India, one of the projects is providing support to the Jharkhand government for eight of their flagship programs that include child development and nutrition program, education, child environment, children and HIV/AIDS, social policy, advocacy and behaviour change communication programs, emergency preparedness and response, child protection and monitoring and evaluation.

IBM Wins Videocon Deal
IBM has won a deal with Datacom Solutions, part of the Rs 24,000 crore Videocon Industries Group, to provide a high-performance IT infrastructure and a range of business solutions to support Datacoms commercial launch this year and complete PAN India coverage over next two years. This partnership will help the telco to accelerate time-to-market for new services, adapt quickly to meet future market requirements, reduce operating expenditures and enhancing customer satisfaction levels.

Minacs Bags Idea Deal
Aditya Birla Minacs, a global business solutions company, and Idea Cellular have announced to sign a five-year outsourcing services deal worth Rs 600 crore. This deal is an expansion of Minacs existing relationship with Idea Cellular. Minacs would provide customer interaction services from its centers in Aurangabad, Baroda, and Kolkata. These services would be providing support in Gujarati, Marathi, Bengali, Oriya, Khasi, and Assamese, apart from Hindi and English to 35 mn Idea customers. Minacs plans to have over 4,000 employees for these three centers by March 2010.

HCL Gets Deal from Fortis
HCL Infosystems has bagged a $15 mn outsourcing deal from hospital chain, Fortis Healthcare. The duration of the deal is five years, which entails implementing software solutions at all Fortis facilities. Under the agreement, HCL will install an IT system to standardize the IT platform for all the hospitals in Fortis network within a years period. The first hospital will go live by the end of February 2010.

Patni Named Edwards Global IT Service Partner
Edwards, a vacuum equipment manufacturer for the scientific industries, has named Patni Computer Systems its global IT services partner. As part of the deal, Patni has already completed a finance process migration and is currently working with Edwards to provide ongoing IT & BPO services. Edwards will also work with Patni on IT migration projects and other BPO opportunities. In addition, Patni will deliver skills and knowledge in developing and moving complex processes as Edwards reorganizes its business operations globally.

TCS Bags Singapore Deal
TCS has announced to enter into a a multi-million dollar deal with a Singapores Peoples Association, a statutory board under the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports, to provide annual application management services for two years. Under the agreement, TCS would develop and maintain Peoples Associations business and citizen centric applications. This system would enable higher process efficiency and staff productivity across the organization. All these would contribute towards lower costs spent on application maintenance, while improving end user satisfaction and enhancing citizen experience with the agency.
