Logica Appoints Abhay Gupte as CEO
Logica has appointed Abhay Gupte, former MD of EDSs Indian Business, as CEO of
Logicas operations in India. He brings with him a wealth of experience in
running the offshore delivery operation of a global company. Gupte will take
full control of the overall performance for Logicas offshore operations in
India, manage all aspects of delivery and quality control, and take
responsibility for the planned growth in headcount.
Gudalur Joins MphasiS as President, BPO

MphasiS, an EDS company, has announced that Cognizant executive Ramesh
Gudalur has joined as president, BPO and a member of the Executive Leadership
Team of the company. In his new role, Gudalur will lead BPO globally, developing

Chopra to Head Windows Live Commercial

Microsoft India has announced the appointment of Rajneesh Chopra as
director, Windows Live Commercial to spearhead Microsofts efforts around
Windows Live in India. In his new role, Chopra will be responsible for driving
the adoption of Windows Live in India. His focus will be on ramping up
penetration of key Live Web services like Hotmail, MSN Messenger, Spaces, etc,
especially in the commercial enterprise and partner space.

Hungama, one of South Asias leading digital entertainment companies, has
made three key senior appointments to strengthen its business operations in
South Asia. Building the strategic re-alignment, the company has appointed Anand
Jhingan as senior VP, International Mobile Business, Hungama Mobile, Hemant Jain
as senior VP-Domestic Business of Hungama Mobile, and Manan Chhatrapati as chief
technology officer (CTO). Anand Jhingan handles the entire operations of the
international business at Hungama Mobile. Hemant Jain has taken charge of the
domestic business.
F5 Appoints Signorelli as VP

F5 Networks, the global leader in application delivery networking, has
announced the appointment of Joseph Signorelli to the newly created role of VP
for Data Solutions in Asia Pacific and Japan. Signorelli will be responsible for
driving sales of F5 Acopia Data Solutions across the region. He will be based in
Tokyo and report directly to Christopher P Lynch, senior VP of Data Solutions
for F5 Networks. In this role, he will support the broader efforts of Song Tang
Yih, VP of Asia Pacific, and ensure the success of the F5 Acopia Data Solutions
product portfolio in these regions.
Bharatee Appointed MD for Serenas India Operations

director for its India operations. As Indias managing director, Bharatee will

Emerson Network Appoints Sandeep Gupta as VP, Finance
Emerson Network Power (India) has appointed Sandeep Gupta as VP, Finance. In
his new role, Gupta will be responsible for financial management, budgets and
accounting, and legal matters of the organization. He has been with Emerson for
six years and in his last role, he was general manager (Product Management and
Corporate Strategy).
Aamir is Samsungs Brand Ambassador

Samsung Telecommunications India (STI), a design and technology leader in
the Indian mobile market, has announced the appointment of Aamir Khan as its
Brand Ambassador for Samsung Mobile Phones in India. The company plans to

Robert Rando Joins Patni Systems
Patni Computer Systems has appointed Robert Rando as VP, Sales, in the Product
Engineering Services (PES) practice. Rando will operate out of Patnis North
American headquarters in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and will lead Patnis
business development efforts for high technology clients in the storage,
computing, and networking sub-verticals. He has over two decades of sales
experience, primarily in the storage industry. Earlier, he held senior
management positions with Hewlett-Packard, Hitachi Data Systems, EMC, Data
General/Clariion, 3PARdata, and, most recently, Open Text.
Sandeep Sibal Joins Qualcomm India
Sandeep
Sibal has joined Qualcomm India as VP-Technology for India and South Asia. In
this role, he is responsible for driving Qualcomms wireless technologies and
solutions in the region. Additionally, Sibal drives the adoption of technology
initiatives such as gpsOne, BREW, MediaFLO, and Mobile Commerce within the
wireless ecosystem in the region. Prior to joining Qualcomm, Sibal held the
position of technology advisor at Reliance Communications since its commercial
launch. Before returning to India to join Reliance Communications, he was
co-founder and chief technology officer of Kirusa, a company that pioneered and
continues to be successful in multi-modal device user interfaces.
Ramnath Appointed MD of KINFRA
S Ramnath has been appointed MD of the Kerala Industrial Infrastructure
Development Corporation (KINFRA). Ramnath, who has worked with the company since
1994, was most recently the MD of the KINFRA Film and Video Park in
Thiruvananthapuram. He is a graduate in engineering from Indian Institute of
Technology (IIT), Kanpur. He has over twenty years of experience in planning and
business development in various capacities. He was also instrumental in planning
and business development management techniques for the successful implementation
of various theme-based industrial parks in the state.
