What is F5s positioning in India considering that you are competing with
the leading players?
F5s vision has always been a benchmark for the application delivery market.
F5 offers complete solution within the application delivery space unlike our
competitors, who are still working in very isolated markets with solutions such
as load balancing, WAN optimization, or SSL products. Application performance
challenges cannot be addressed in isolation. The approach and vision of F5
clearly addresses the life cycle of the application delivery space and it is
clearly evident in F5s Gartner positioning in the Magic Quadrant.
F5 has completed two years recently. What have been the key achievements?
When F5 came to India, we started addressing our global customers in India.
Today, we are working with many Indian companies. The two large CDMA players in
India are our customers; we are a strong player in the IT/ITeS space; all MNC
banks present in India along with many Indian banks are F5 customers. Currently,
we are focusing on building knowledge and addressing the application delivery
challenges of customers. We grew by 145% last year and we will continue to grow
at the same pace in the years to come; we will establish market leadership in
India.

Who are F5s biggest customers in India? Can you share some details on
what F5 is doing for them?
As mentioned earlier, the two largest CDMA players in India are our
customers. The deal also includes taking care of their CDMA traffic management
and content. One area that is evolving very fast and strong for F5 is its
presence in the IPTV market. With respect to the banking sector, as banking
applications are becoming more Web enabled, F5s role is becoming stronger and
more predominant.
What is the USP of F5s offerings?
F5 is the only vendor you can choose today that can make all your
applications work using a single, universal platform. This shared product
platformcalled TMOSis unlike anything else in the industry. TMOS operates in a
fundamentally different way than competing technologies, providing a highly
modular architecture used by all F5 products.
