GA to Invest $60 mn in IBS
IBS Software Services (IBS) has announced that General Atlantic LLC (GA) will invest $60 mn (Rs 242 crore) in the company for a minority stake. GA is a leading global growth investor and is rated as one of the top 20 private equity investment companies in the world.

Mastek Acquires Vector
Mastek has announced the acquisition of Vector Insurance Services LLC. Under the terms of the agreement, Masteks wholly-owned US subsidiary, MajescoMastek will hold 90% equity stake in Vector.

Calsoft Acquires Aspire
Calsoft has announced that it has signed a share purchase agreement for acquisition of majority stake in Aspire. The enterprise valuation of Aspire Communications, India and its US subsidiary, Aspire Soft Corporation, was at Rs 106 mn.

Patni Acquires Taratec
Patni Computer Systems has announced the acquisition of Bridgewater, NJ-based Taratec Development for an aggregate price of $27.2 mn in cash including contingent consideration. Taratec is a leading consulting company in the life sciences industry.

Mistral Solutions Emerges
Product realization company Mistral has announced the amalgamation of its group companies, Mistral Software and Mistral Solutions. The merged company would be known as Mistral Solutions. A Mistral statement said that the merger would put in motion a renewed fervor to the firms "commitment to offer complete end-to-end solutions in the embedded domain." Mistral would continue to provide the same products and services.

VSoft Buys Coopman Business
Banking and financial technology solutions provider VSoft acquired the business of Coopman Consultancy Services, a Bangalore based software development and consultancy firm. With this acquisition Coopmans core banking software, a cutting edge product designed for use in co-operative banks, regional rural banks, and credit societies will also come under Vsofts umbrella. This acquisition will add thirty banks to its customer base, and also opens up opportunities for VSofts other products like cheque truncation, document imaging and MIS tools in this segment.

GTLs MSD Sold
France Telecom acquired the enterprise and managed services divisions (MSD) of GTL. This acquisition strengthens the local presence of Orange Business Services, the business communications arm of the France Telecom Group. It improves Orange Business Services capabilities to better serve the needs of Indian and multinational corporations (MNCs) throughout the region, in particular in the following areas including PBX/IP Voice solutions, WAN/LAN integration and optimization, CRM solutions, on-site and remote management of networks, servers, and desktops.
