Reality Show Weddings, Exposed in Virtual World
For every reality show, theres a virtual Big Boss watching closely. YouTube, virtual expose or online virals, have already bared some fake contestants and some scripted bits of the so-called reality. Heres how...

Reality shows, how real? Well, thats a debate thats been on for quite some time. The twists, the turns, the spice, the volte-face occasions, the ooh-so-shocking moments of truth! How real are they actually?

This year seems devoted to weddings. If someone is hosting a Swayamwar somewhere, there is another looking for a perfect bride elsewhere.

Star Plus recent reality show, Lux Prefect Bride, a novel and fresh shake-out show, as claimed, may have helped the channel lap up a new gear in TRP race. But theres another set of audience, it better watch out on the virtual tracks.

Why? Because Rajbeer and Priyanka almost ready for the aisle; Yashdeep and Gurpreet are ready to take on the family objections with full energy; or Vivek turning a new leaf with Dr Nanditas remedy pills.

Well, while we sofa-spuds may watch with curiosity, as to who is hitching with whom, there are some amongst us who love digging the extent of reality in this radical match-making format via some tech spades.

To start with, barring a few, most of the contestants themselves could be fake, if some virtual netizen-journalists say it right. Most of them are aspiring models and actors, who are using this show as a jack to catapult into limelight and visibility.

Perfect Bride or Actress?
Pooja, the green-eyed belle, who has won many hearts, and MILs (moms-in-law) on Lux Perfect Bride is the hottest target of online brickbats.

And why? Because she is not a girl next-door from Chandigarh, who is looking for a life-partner. Rather, she is a Punjabi actress, who has already got a film in her CV.

She may not have breathed a word about her histrionics features on the show yet, but smart viewers have already clicked their ways to YouTube for the reality check.

And no doubt, Pooja is right there at the music launch of the movie Sat Sri Akal in certain YouTube videos pitching for her movie.

On the entertainment portal Tellyone (www.techtipspro.com), a report highlights the forgotten nook of her career:

Tandon, one of the contestants on Star Plus reality show, Lux Perfect Bride, was a VJ and also a struggling actress. Her father, Vijay Tandon, is a well-known figure in the film industry. Pooja showed her acting skills in a Punjabi flick, Sat Sri Akal, a film on love and faith which was released worldwide in November 2008. The question thats striking me a lot is why she or the show never revealed that she acted in a movie? .. Pooja Tandon even did a couple of Punjabi music videos.

The report suggests to visit The Tribune Chandigarh dated October 28, 2006, and scroll down to Dream Fire for more info.

Greek Gods Real Face
Rajbeer, the Adonis-of-the-show, who has immediately chosen a plain-jane Priyanka, is another butt of virtual bayonets.

On the entertainment portal Tellyone (www.techtipspro.com), a report puts the spotlight on him, tagging him as a fake-groom. It says that he has hidden his modeling stints deliberately. And it also supplies slices of a modeling portfolio of Rajbeer as proof. He is also doing modeling assignments. It looks as if he is not serious about any of the brides on the show. The reality show seems to be a platform for him to showcase his looks and talents as an actor. If he is really there for a bride why did he hide the truth?

  • Comments inevitably follow too. Riya says:Rajbir is getting Priyanka all emotional because he figured out that she is the only emotional fool around, and he will stick in the show till the end if he does what hes doing THERES IS NO LOVE IN THEM..

Another Splits Ville?
Theres even an alleged yoke affair between celebrity judge of the show, Amrita Rao and the hunk Rajbeer. On the portal, India-forums for instance, rumor mills are running like this: If sources are to be believed, Amrita Rao herself would turn out to be the perfect bride on Star Plus reality show that goes by the same name. According to our source, we have often noticed Amritas searching eyes come to a smooth stop at Rajbeers face. Even when she mentors Rajbeer the changed attitude is evident though she attempts at downplaying it.  The source adds, Already Rajbeer is receiving a lot of flak from the boys for being a sort of favorite amongst the girls. And now this new development could only add to his troubles.
The source further adds, Then there is Priyanka who is ready to bite the head off of any girl who even glances at Rajbeers direction. Wonder how she will react to the fact that one of the most eligible girls of this country is secretly nurturing a crush on Rajbeer.  Thats what the portal reports. Readers, of course, choose to maintain their opinion. A comment from Masakalli illustrates just that. Rajbeer likes Priyanka and Priyanka likes Rajbeer. Even if Amrita Rao proposed to Rajbeer he would say NO because he likes down-to-earth and graceful women. While Shruti.nil says: dats really funny....kahani main twist........he he...its really too funy!!! WellBut dont they say truth is stranger than fiction! So no matter what the reality is, the big byte is that todays tech-savvy viewer is not that idiot-boxed as many would wish to believe. S/he may be a couch potato, yes, but not a small potato for sure. And thanks to technology, not a blind one at all. Communities, debate, digging-fakes or brewing controversy; looks like the online world is whipping up with enough excitement and attention too. Albeit, these eyeballs have sharper ears that come with quick and fast-spreading tongues, thanks to technology. Thats why a post from Rudresh suggests it right. This show as a whole now totally looks fake. Everyone, apart from a few persons, seems to be fake. Some look like aspiring and struggling models. Others are here simply for money. Marriage or being a bride is in no ones agenda. In India no one with a balance mind will go to choose a bride in a show. This show is losing its charm what so ever it has.

I request the organizers to bring the reality on show. Its format also seems too long. So, all the best, Reality! What say?
