The Nasscom EMERGE 50 is an initiative that identifies and honors the emerging companies, which are redefining the benchmark of excellence for the next generation of SMEs, and those succeeding in emerging/domestic markets. This includes companies that:

  • Have achieved the fastest rates of growth over the past two to three years
  • Offer unique value propositiongame changers in the market in a unique way of delivery to buyers not having fast growth
  • Offer unique organizational work models. For example, operating from tier-2 and tier-3 cities, using handicapped workforce, etc
  • Have identified a niche for themselves with a strong foothold in the market with respect to their services domain
  • Have built their own proprietary intellectual property or technology that would be a game changer
  • Have unique delivery systems like SaaS, cloud computing, or free for entry-level users.

SMEs less than Rs 50 crore topline may or may not have the fastest rate of growth in the last three years. If they achieve that, of course, they deserve the recognition. The purpose of this initiative is to identify and recognize the potentially great companies in the making, who can be treated as role model for inspiration for others. That helps benchmarking and peer pressure to grow.

Nominations were invited from emerging companies across distinct categories such asEMERGE Growth, EMERGE Markets (non-traditional/domestic market), EMERGE Products, EMERGE Servicesthat provide an opportunity and showcase the organizations unique offering.

Over 205 entries were received from twenty-two cities thirty-seven in EMERGE Growth, sixty-seven in EMERGE Services, fifty-eight in EMERGE Products, and forty-three in EMERGE Markets categories. The jury members met with the fifty shortlisted companies from all over India and gave them an opportunity to present their services/products or models which have been adapted for growing the non-traditional/domestic market base. Companies also shared their strategies on growth strategies and how they plan to scale them.

Further, Nasscom will also work with the EMERGE 50 companies to mentor them and help them scale up to the next level of growth.
