Even as HTMT expanded its operations in six different locations across India and its employee strength crossed the 9,000 mark, its Empex score showed a corresponding marginal growth. Its employees reinforced belief in the company and the management was a big positive for HTMT. Accolades too were not late in coming; HTMT Global was recognized with a gold medal at the recent HR Outsourcing Summit in Bangkok. The company was recognized for its efforts in institutionalizing a competency development model.

HTMTS preference for off-beat locations like Durgapur and Mysore has also been driven by its business delivery model whereby it explores locations that closely align to optimal delivery for its customers. For example, Durgapur is used to address Bharti Airtel customers of Bihar, Orissa and Jharkhand.

HTMT Global Solutions

Rank - 10

Jessy Christin, VP, HR

Employees believe that the company offered a very good growth opportunity for them. Stress-free work atmosphere, and an inclusive fun culture with several employee engagement activities are key reasons for satisfaction. Team building efforts have been in full steam: short burst team building activities have become the norm at HTMT.

According to Jessy Christin, VP, HR, there is a plan to organize a league cricket tournament in the form of IPL during the month of November, in Bangalore. Twelve teams from different processes will participate in the tournament. HTMT believes that employee satisfaction doesnt mean just paying high salarieseven the basics like quality of food, matters.

But however hard the company might attempt to please employees with all these soft sops, most were not satisfied with salary and benefits. Only 12% of respondents chose HTMT as their preferred company. It was not just the compensation package, but like many other BPOs the desire to go for higher education as well as the need to chart out a settled career growth path prompted many to leave the company.
