NIIT Smart Serve has introduced a unique program called Skip Levels for
encouraging open communication between senior leadership and the junior
employees. Under the program, team members can skip their team leads and
directly approach the supervisor for discussing any problems.
Another effective feedback mechanism is the Individual Effectiveness
Feedback. A 360-degree and part of the performance appraisal, this initiative
measures an employees leadership skills.
Considering that a majority of their employees are graduates, NIIT Smart
Serve has launched a program offering higher education on the job. Under this
program all employees completing six months of service can opt for a part-time
or a full time course which the company will sponsor.

Keeping employee feedback paramount for company growth, SmartServe had
started an initiative called the Employee Satisfaction Survey. Under this, the
employees measure and rate the organization on capabilities like food,
transport, and health of organization. In an online four-page survey, the
finding of the survey is discussed by the leadership team.

Taking the historic NIIT legacy forward, NIIT SmartServe too gives away a
dating allowance on Valentines, while the married ones get a wedding
allowance.
