Alcatel-Lucent Collaborates with McAfee
Alcatel-Lucent has announced a joint solution with McAfee, that integrates
the Alcatel-Lucent OmniAccess 3500 Nonstop Laptop Guardian (NLG) with McAfee
Endpoint Encryption software, delivering a mobile security solution for lost and
stolen laptops. Alcatel-Lucent has joined the McAfee Security Innovation
Alliance to enable smart card pre-boot authentication and remote kill
capabilities for laptops.
Bharti Telesoft Powering VAS Solutions for MTN Group
Bharti Telesoft has announced its alliance with the MTN Group to deliver
multimedia messaging center (MMSC), short message service center (SMSC) and
wireless application protocol (WAP) Gateway solutions for all twenty-one MTN
operations. As a part of the deal Bharti Telesoft will be providing SMSC,
including its SMS router and mGateway solutions, as well as MMSC and WAP gateway
solutionssolutions that Bharti Telesoft gained via its acquisition of Jataayu
Software.
Motorola Enhances its EDA Portfolio
The enterprise mobility business of Motorola has launched the MC75, the
latest addition to its portfolio of Enterprise Digital Assistants (EDA),
developed for mobile enterprises that require connectivity around the world. The
MC75 EDA will help organizations increase worker productivity and efficiency,
reduce operational costs and errors, and enhance customer service by delivering
simultaneous voice, data, GPS navigation, and camera-based document capture.
Tata Indicom Launches Instant Messaging Service
Tata Indicom has launched Instant Messenger Servicean innovative medium to
stay connected and chatt with friends and loved ones while on the move. The Tata
Indicom Messenger gives Tata Indicom customers the advantage of creating buddy
list, adding friends and relatives, viewing their status and chatting with
multiple Tata Indicom buddies at the same time.
Tech Mahindra, Redline Partner for mobile WiMax
Tech Mahindra and Redline Communications has signed a global partnership
agreement to deliver mobile WiMax solutions. The companies will begin their
first joint mobile WiMax deployment for the selected carriers in the Asia
Pacific region in 2008-2009. Under the agreement, Tech Mahindra is the preferred
systems integrator for the deployment of Redlines REDMAX 4C Mobile WiMax
solution. Tech Mahindra has also chosen Redline as its preferred WiMax
technology providers.
SatGuide Now Available for Symbian OS Phones
SatNav Technologies is now providing state of the art GPS turn-by-turn
navigation software for all Symbian OS Mobile devices across the country. Users
who purchase the software can install the navigation software on any of the
Symbian OS phones. SatGuide on all Symbian handsets is set to satisfy the
increased demand for user-friendly location based services, with an array of
exciting new functions.
