An integrated IT player, HCL Infosystems moves up to #17 from #26. A Shiv Nadar Group company, HCL Infosystems reported revenues of Rs 1,261.32 crore and a net profit of Rs 46.14 crore, up by 9% and down by 21% respectively over the previous year. The gross block was up 13% to Rs 112.98 crore. HCL Infosystems is ranked #4 in sales, #15 in profit, #23 in sales growth, #17 in gross block, #33 in profit growth and #35 in gross block growth. The company provides system integration services and software solutions. It is also the undisputed leader in the domestic hardware segment. In services, the company provides IT consulting, software development, system integration, SAP implementation, customization of business solutions, setting up call centers, technical helpdesks, system support, facilities management and networking. Although product sales were up 10% during the year ended June 2002, margins were under pressure due to a difficult environment and competition. The services segment grew just 2% during the period under review.
